Mannin Retail is proud to announce our new improved Colby store is now fully open and successfully trading. The store has received not only an extensive refit internally incorporating the latest Spar brand identity, the first on the island, but it has also been extended considerably in order to better serve the local community.

We are now pleased to be able to offer our customers a better range of products across the store from frozen to fresh foods and beers, wines and spirits to ambient grocery, with new and exciting services soon to be introduced.

Colby is a true community store with many of the local residents depending on it for their daily essentials. Not only have we created a lovely bright and airy space inside, but we have also been sympathetic to its surroundings by fronting the new extension in Manx stone to match the existing barn that used to make up 50% of the store. New centrally repositioned automatic doors have been added to let natural light into the store and the counter is now located in front of the doors so the first thing you see is the smiling friendly face of the local staff member behind the counter.

Colby is also a ‘green’ store operating on full LED lighting throughout and incorporating energy efficient doors on all the chilled cabinets so we are doing our bit for the environment as well. When passing the newly improved store in Colby please take the time to call in and say hello to Mary Ann and the team as they will be delighted to welcome you into their new-generation Spar store!
